Actis poised to present first two LABC regional awards of 2019

Insulation specialist Actis is preparing to present the first regional prizes to winners of this year’s popular LABC Building Excellence Awards.

Presentations will take place at 12 venues across England and Wales over the next few months, with the first glitzy soiree, for the central area, taking place on Friday April 5 in Milton Keynes.

The following week, Friday April 12, sees those shortlisted in the South Wales region gather in their black ties and sequinned dresses to find out who has earned a place in the national finals in London towards the end of the year.

The awards are open to organisations which have used Local Authority Building Control for their projects and are aimed at enabling construction professionals to gain recognition and increase their reputation within the industry.

They reward excellent buildings, outstanding companies, partnerships and individuals who go that extra mile.

Factors taken into account when selecting winners include high levels of compliance with building regulations, effective working relationships with LABC surveyors, outstanding craftsmanship, technical innovation, sustainability, an ability to solve technical problems with creative solutions and innovative products and the skills to overcome difficult site conditions.

The awards are open to building control surveyors, builders, architects, and designers.
