Actis duo share Part L expertise at Cornish tourist attraction

The Actis specification team enjoyed a tour of one of Cornwall’s popular tourist destinations as part of a CPD training day aimed at helping specifiers, surveyors and building control officers get to grips with changes to planning regulations.

Specification manager Elijah Peters and area sales manager Scott Storey talked to delegates about how Actis products can help builders meet Part L revisions as their contribution to the educational day held this month at the Eden Project.

Other guests at the Cornwall Council and LABC-hosted event enlightened attendees on changes to revisions to part F and new parts O and S.

The Building Regulations changes came into force last June, but delegates were reminded that even applications deposited before that date must comply with the revised regulations unless work begins by June 15 this year. Beginning work after this date could have major implications for specifiers and builders such as significant re-design.

The changes apply to new build projects, extensions, alterations and changes of use.
