Actis expands its specification team with architectural technician appointment

We have expanded our specification team with the appointment of an architectural technician to help architects, merchants, builders and building control officers in the South West, the West Midlands and South Wales.

Elijah Peters, who has an MSc in architecture and design technology, joins fellow specification managers Amaret Chahal and Jason Docherty who look after the North East and Scotland and the South East and Central.

Elijah’s previous roles include working as a CAD designer and project manager at an architectural practice in the home counties and a project management specialist in the Midlands.

He aims to demonstrate the benefits of our products to end users, with a particular focus on helping architects, timber framers, loft converters and housing developers.

And he will join Amaret and Jason in presenting our popular range of CPDs, two of which are RIBA-approved, to building control firms, architectural practices and at LABC’s monthly roadshows.

The modules offer insight into addressing the performance gap, complying with Part L and compliance.

Elijah is passionate about our sustainability credentials and keen to spread the word about that, along with the products’ thermal performance and cost effectiveness.

“My vision for Actis is for growth. A company that is big on sustainability, eco-friendly, and cost effective, it’s only a matter of time before the name Actis hits global ears,” he said.

“Actis shares my core values, which cemented my decision to join the company. And my academic background puts me in a prime position to support my fellow colleagues.”

Outside work Elijah loves travelling, exploring different places and discovering new activities.

Actis UK and Ireland sales director Mark Cooper added: “As the popularity of Actis products grows, so does our team. Our technical support and specification expertise are very much sought after and our CPDs are the source of really important information which is vital for helping the construction industry head towards net zero. So expanding the team which helps educate the current and next generation of construction industry professionals is a natural step to help us all work together to build more sustainably.”
