Actis sales manager Liane Bayliss in line for national award

Actis South East and London area sales manager Liane Bayliss has been longlisted for this year’s BMJ Industry Awards.

She is in the running for the title of supplier account manager of the year and is one of dozens nominated for around two dozen titles ranging from bathroom supplier to industry personality of the year.

The awards, designed to reward and recognise the achievements of merchants and suppliers, companies and individuals in the UK merchanting arena, are the only ones in the sector which are decided by a public vote.

Liane’s many fans – yes, she has plenty - can help her win the title by voting for her here: www.bmjindustryawards.co.uk/your-vote-2021/

As well as assisting customers across the South East address complex technical issues she runs merchant training sessions which her clients find extremely useful.

If enough people vote for her she could be lining up on the red carpet to take the trophy at a gala event in London on November 26.

Only members of the industry can take part, say the organsiers, with consumer votes not counted. The awards team also says all personal contact details must be completed to validate each vote.

BMJ group managing editor Fiona Russell Horne says: “Now, more than ever, is the time to celebrate the incredible hard work and dedication that those in the industry have shown over the past 18 months. The pandemic has thrown up challenges the like of which we have never seen before and the fact that so many in the industry rose to meet those challenges is testament to the strength of the sector.

“What better way to recognise the hard work and upstanding contribution of colleagues, peers and suppliers than by voting for those who have made it through the first round onto our longlist?”
