Actis wins supplier of the year award

Actis has been presented with the Insulation Supplier of the Year Award by Build magazine in its annual Homebuilder Awards.

The programme celebrates the innovation of ground-breaking firms, enterprises and individuals across the sector.

Awards co-ordinator Edward Faulkner praised the hard work and commitment to excellence of all the winners.

“As the industry moves forward in the face of adversity, we recognise the grit and determination of the workmen and women dedicating themselves to the design and construction of our most prized possession. It is with great pride that I offer hearty congratulations to all of my winners. I wish you the best of luck for the future.”

It is the sixth award for which products in Actis’ innovative Hybrid system has been shortlisted over the past 18 months.

Near misses in the past include National Product of the Year and National Supplier of the Year in the National Energy Efficiency and Healthy Homes Awards, the Timber Innovation title in the Timber Trades Journal awards, the Structural Timber Association’s Product Innovation Award and the Product of the Year prize in the BREEAM National Insulation Industry Awards.

In many cases it was Actis’ honeycomb style insulation Hybris panels which were singled out for praise. The other three products in the CE marked mix and match range are insulating vapour control layer HControl Hybrid and insulating breather membranes BoostR Hybrid Wall and BoostR Hybrid Roof.

All four have LABC and LABSS registered details, LABC Warranty and Premier Guarantee approval and are accepted by the NHBC when used in accordance with the certification.
