LABC seminar shows Actis Hybris insulation is quick, clean and easy to use

Actis visits North Yorkshire for November’s LABC technical roadshow

The ease with which Actis Hybris insulation can be installed was demonstrated at the latest monthly LABC technical roadshow.

Area sales manager Karolina Taylor and regional specification manager Amaret Chahal presented a CPD module on addressing thermal bridging to builders, designers and building control teams at the October seminar in Kendal, Cumbria.

As well as highlighting the thermal efficiency benefits of using Hybris and its complementary membranes HControl Hybrid and BoostR Hybrid, the team were keen to show at first hand the ease and cleanliness with which the product can be cut and installed.

Karolina said: “Specifiers are becoming increasingly familiar with the fact that Actis products can combat thermal bridging, so we wanted to demonstrate another of the product’s benefits and show them how really absolutely anyone can cut Hybris. It’s very, very easy. And as you can see from the photo, it doesn’t require any PPE or special clothing!”

CE-marked Hybris is NHBC approved and has achieved LABC and LABSS registered details which means it can be accepted by LABC and LABSS building control surveyors in all local authorities across England, Scotland and Wales when used according to the certification.

A range of How To videos on the Actis website gives step-by-step guides to installers on how to cut and use Hybris and its sister products in a range of scenarios such as timber frame walls and roofs and with electric wires and pipes.
